RESULTS
The dreaded sweep is over. Once again 24-4A dominates region III. Manvel, Pearland Dawson, and La Marque from 24-4A, plus Angleton from 23-3A send all four SETX teams to the basketball courts. It has been another wonderful football season for Toups Graphics. Toups Graphics finishes the season at 75% with his FEARLESS PREDICTIONS. Toups Graphics would like to congratulate Vidor and Ozen on very impressive seasons. Vidor FINALLY wins a playoff game and Ozen knocks out two very good district championship teams in the playoffs. Dayton once again goes to the third round for the fifth year in a row, and the Bulldogs finally met their match in Pearland Dawson. Good luck to all the athletes as they continue their school year, for the seniors, THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!

The Black Pearl was firing it's ammo at will during the first half, then the Pirates ran out of it's arsenal. The Wildcats then returned the bombardment and sent the Black Pearl to the bottom of the sea with a second half barrage that the Pirates weren't able to respond to. It took 13 games for somenone to finally score over 30 on the Pirates. In the end the Pirates advance to the Regional Round for the first time in almost 40 years. At last report, the Black Pearl is back in Vidor in a dry dock getting repaired for next year.


Dayton Broncos vs Manvel Mavericks 7:00 PM Abshier Stadium Deer Park
After the first two possessions it looked like the Broncos would be able to keep pace with the Mavericks, then the defensive line of Manvel turned up their play one notch, and that was basically it for the Bronco offense. When Manvel didn't fumble they scored on every single possession, only punting once late in the 4th quarter. Four first half Maverick fumbles only result in 7 Bronco points. It's finally over for the Dayton QB. After three years of leading the Broncos to a quarter final, and two regional round playoff games Andres Herrera plays his last game as a Bronco. A Toups Graphics farewell also goes out to four year lettermen Gamal Fowler and Jakari Delasbour. THANKS FOR ALL THE HIGHLIGHTS!!!!

Dawson surges ahead in the third quarter and the Bulldogs weren't able to respond. Dawson scores right at the predicted score of 31, Nederland does score 25 points, but it wasn't enough. A great season for the Bulldogs is complete. An Area Round Trophy, PLUS it's first outright district championship in over 40 years now is the the high school foyer trophy case.

The Panthers knock out district champions Barbers Hill and Brenham, but when squared up against 24-4A, Ozen ran out of steam. The Cougars from La Marque score enough to hold off a very good Ozen team. After four games into the season, even the best of us didn't see the Panthers winning a playoff game, much less going to the playoffs. It turned out to be a great season for Ozen fans.

2011 TOUPS GRAPHICS POWER RANKINGS
#1 in the power rankings will be the last team playing!
The Power Rankings change up this week. Toups Graphics predicts the Bronco and Pirates winning and the Bulldogs and the Panthers being eliminated. The updated rankings are below.


Toups Graphics gives bragging rights to the last team playing. When the other teams have to buy tickets to watch you play, well that is what any high school football fan wants. If you click the following link it takes you to the

2011 FINAL POWER RANKINGS
#8 Goose Creek Memorial
The Patriots make the playoffs, and run into the sawmill that is the Bulldog defense. The 2011 football season will long be remember as the season that the Patriots beat the Broncos.
#7 Barbers Hill
The Eagles resume their annual tradition for the weekend after Veteran's Day. They are buying tickets to watch the BRONCOS play football. After such a promising start to the season at 9 and 0, the Eagles crash land losing thier last two games. At least they can say, like the Patriots, they did beat the Broncos in 2011, but when it really counts, they aren't as good to the real 4A football team between the San Jacinto and Trinity.
#6 Crosby
The Cougars defensive line is exposed by the Vidor Pirates. Crosby does take part of the Eagles late season demise, but like the Patriots and Eagles, they too are in line to buy tickets to watch the BRONCOS play football in the playoffs.
#5 PN-G
The Indians five game winning streak at the end of the season isn't enough to overcome the Dayton Broncos. The Indians fail to make the Broncos punt in the second half, and watch as field goal after field goal is kicked through the Dayton uprights. Since the Lumberton Raiders 8 to 7 victory over the Broncos a LONG TIME ago... No one from 20-4A can come overcome the Broncos.
#4 Ozen
The Panthers knock out two district champs in the playoffs, but fall short when squared up against 24-4A.
#3 Vidor
The Black Pearl is sunk in the regional round by a very good Angleton team. For the first time since LBJ, the Pirates advance in the playoffs.
.#2 Dayton
The Broncos hit a mid season rut, losing two district games, but in the end, they played their best football of the season when it counted. For the fifth straight season the Broncos go three rounds deep.
#1 Nederland
The Bulldogs finish the season as the #1 Power Ranked team. Like the other top four teams, the Bulldogs season come to an end when they faced 24-4A.

Now that I have been a Junior High teacher over a decade in Dayton, I have had the fortune of watching the kids mature from Ponies to Broncos. There is a great sense of pride I take in teaching these kids that by believing you can succeed, and not only does this work in math class, but it transfers over to the field on Friday Night. Whether it be throwing the game winning touchdown, cheering the Broncos on from the sideline, playing a trombone while marching in perfect unison, twirling in front of thousands, or being crowned queen of your town, nothing can reach the high school students like Friday Night Lights.

Friday Night Lights, a Texas tradition that passes on honor, pride, and sportsmanship to the next generation.

Several key passes and runs keep the ball moving for the Broncos offense. In the 2nd half Gamal plays both ways, intercepts a ball in the endzone and runs it back 40 yards to fuel the Bronco comeback.

AFTER YOU EAT YOU NEED TO PARK...
The largest parking lot (if there is one) nearest to the stadium is at WWJH located on HWY 146. You will have to walk to the stadium, but it is an easy exit from the parking lot (especially if you are heading south on HWY 146 to Barbers Hill)
If the parking in front of Nottingham Elementary is full, there is additional parking on the south side of the school, you can continue down Cleveland Street to SFA Elementary where there is more parking. After these lots fill up you are parking in the neighborhood, at the Post Office, then lord forbid at the Brookshire Bros.
